Our Mission
Our mission is to alleviate poverty and improve lives by leveraging the power within local communities where problems exist, and providing tools and knowledge that allow people to help themselves.
Anyone looking to improve a local community—be it a rural village in Africa or a youth center in a U.S. city—can organize, gather resources, contribute, and collaborate with others to complete projects that enhance lives.

Due Diligence
The following steps are completed before a project is cleared and approved to be uploaded on our website.
-
Project leader submits a project to GSH website (back office)
-
GSH routes a summary of the project and contact person to local country manager
-
Local country Manager contacts Project leader to verify legal documents, existence of the NGO or association and track records. A set of questionnaire is sent to the project leader to provide information needed for the vetting process. Sometimes, the country manager visits the project site.
-
Once all document received and initial vetting completed, the country manager sends a report to GSH.
-
GSH conducts its own due diligence to verify if the project and organization is legitimate according to US laws and OFAC list
-
GSH checks the feasibility of the project: capacity, and how much money can the project leader gather with friends and family. Once the initial quota is reached, the project is ready to be uploaded to the website and the project leader is notified
-
If rejected, a message is sent to project leader.
